<p class="p1">Liza Chereš is a poet, translator and scholar of literature. She is a graduate student at Harvard University. In 2023 she has won Andrei Bely Prize in &#8220;The best project&#8221; category as part of the team. She translates from Italian, Polish, German, Yiddish, and other languages. Her first collection of poetry was published by the series Binadroba in 2026.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p class="p1">This book includes the poetry about the history of Belarus and its heroes and heroines. It is inspired by the author&#8217;s life in Minsk and by her experience in Belarusian studies. The book is concluded by the texts referencing the poems by the Jewish authors of the Belarusian renaissance, who wrote in Yiddish.</p>

<p class="p1">Volha Złotnikava is a Belarusian poet and translator. She was born in Minsk in 1987. She is the author of such books of poetry as &#8220;Паства&#8221; (&#8220;The Flock&#8221;, 2016), &#8220;Радогощенский дневник&#8221; (&#8220;The diary of Radahošča&#8221;, 2018), &#8220;Наперадзе толькi лес&#8221; (&#8220;There is only forest ahead&#8221;, 2023). <p class="p1">Maksim Kryvtsov was the Ukrainian soldier, poet, photographer and volunteer. He volunteered for the army in 2014. Later he worked in the Center for Readaptation and Rehabilitation &#8220;YARMIZ&#8221; and in the Veteran Hub charity. As a photographer and mentor, he joined the &#8220;Строкаті єноти&#8221; (&#8216;Motley raccoons&#8217;) project for children.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p class="p1">After the full scale Russian invasion in 2022, Maksym returned to the front and served as the machine gunner in the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.</p>
<p class="p1">Kryvtsov has been writing poetry since teenage years. His texts were published in such collections as «Книга Love 2.0. Любов і війна», «Там, де вдома: 112 віршів про любов та війну», «Колискова 21-го століття Vol. 1: що тебе заколисує?».</p>
<p class="p1">In December 2023, he published his first collection &#8220;Вірші з бійниці&#8221; (&#8220;Poems from the Gunloop&#8221;). It was honored as one of the best Ukrainian books of 2023 by PEN Ukraine.</p>
<p class="p1">Kryvtsov&#8217;s poetry has been translated to Lithuanian, Greek, Polish, Bulgarian, Portuguese, French, and English. His poems were put to music by such bands as Yurcash, Adm:t, as well as by singers Vivienne Mort and Oohla.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p class="p1">Maksym died defending Ukraine on January 7, 2024, in Kharkiv region.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>

<p class="p1">Lusine is a poet and translator from Belarus. She writes in Belarusian and Czech.</p>
<p class="p1">Born in Orša on May 13, 1995. Lusine has lived in Minsk for five years, and fell madly in love with that city. Since 2017 she&#8217;s been living in Prague, where she received another unnecessary degree in economy and journalism. She works in the 80-year old cinema with the most beautiful neon lights in town. From time to time she organizes the Belarusian poetry readings.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p class="p1">In 2023 and 2024, Lusine graduated from the School for young authors and the Laboratory of decolonial writing &#8220;Карані / Лісце&#8221; (&#8220;Roots / Leaves&#8221;), organized by the &#8220;Расцяжэнне&#8221; (&#8220;Stretching&#8221;) archive and the literary zine &#8220;Фігуры&#8221; (&#8220;Figures&#8221;).<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>

<p class="p1">Hanna Jankuta was born in 1984 in Hrodna. She&#8217;s the writer, translator and literary critic. Candidate of Philological Sciences. She&#8217;s the author of the book &#8220;Час пустазелля&#8221; (&#8220;Time of Fieldweed&#8221;, 2023), and the poetic project &#8220;Геалогія&#8221;/&#8221;Канстытуцыя&#8221; (&#8220;Geology&#8221;/&#8221;Constitution&#8221;, 2022). Jankuta is also the author of children&#8217;s stories, including the series about Šprot the Cat and the book &#8220;Марта і яе мара пра снег&#8221; (&#8220;Marta and her dream of the snow&#8221;), as well as numerous articles and essays.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>
<p class="p1">Hanna Jankuta translates Polish and English poetry and prose. Winner of the Aleś Adamovič Prize (2024), the Jerzy Giedroyc Prize (2nd place, 2024), and the Maksim Bahdanovič &#8220;Debut&#8221; Prize in the category &#8220;Literary Translation&#8221; (2013). Her works have been translated to German, Danish, Italian, Latvian, English, Spanish, Czech, Slovak, Polish, Lithuanian, Hungarian, and other languages.<span class="Apple-converted-space"> </span></p>

<p class="p1">Viktar Žybul (born 1978) is a poet, literary scholar, dramatist, and performing artist from Belarus. He is a member of the “Bum-Bam-Lit” movement and has been involved in numerous literary and theater projects. He was awarded the “Hliniany Vialies” literary prize for his book of collected poetry „Orange“ (hochroth Minsk, 2024). „Muränenröhrling“ is his first volume of poetry to be published in German.</p>
<p class="p1">Thomas Weiler (born 1978) translates from Belarusian, Russian, and Polish, mostly prose, but also children&#8217;s literature and poetry, e.g. Aleś Razanaŭ, Vera Burlak, Julia Cimafiejeva, and Oleg Grigorjew. In 2024, he was honored with the Paul Celan Prize and the August Wilhelm von Schlegel Visiting Professorship for Poetics of Translation, and in 2025 he received the Leipzig Book Fair Prize in the category „translation“.</p>

<p class="p1">Marharyta Alaškievič (born in 1985 in Minsk) is a literary critic and an author of prose and poetry. She graduated as a postgraduate from the Faculty of Journalism at the Belarusian State University in 2010. In 2025 she graduated from the Minsk Theological Academy as a choir-master. She worked as a photo model and taught literature to journalists. Author of the prose book &#8220;Model for murder&#8221; (&#8220;Мадэль для забойства&#8221;, 2013) and the poetry collection &#8220;Word Hunt&#8221; (&#8220;Слоўныя ловы&#8221;, 2019). Lives in Belarus.</p>
<p class="p1">The second collection of poetry by Marharyta Alaškievič tells of the last five Belarusian years as seen by the author from her personal perspective.</p>
