Maksim Kryvtsov was the Ukrainian soldier, poet, photographer and volunteer. He volunteered for the army in 2014. Later he worked in the Center for Readaptation and Rehabilitation “YARMIZ” and in the Veteran Hub charity. As a photographer and mentor, he joined the “\u0421\u0442\u0440\u043e\u043a\u0430\u0442\u0456 \u0454\u043d\u043e\u0442\u0438” (‘Motley raccoons’) project for children.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

After the full scale Russian invasion in 2022, Maksym returned to the front and served as the machine gunner in the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Kryvtsov has been writing poetry since teenage years. His texts were published in such collections as \u00ab\u041a\u043d\u0438\u0433\u0430 Love 2.0. \u041b\u044e\u0431\u043e\u0432 \u0456 \u0432\u0456\u0439\u043d\u0430\u00bb, \u00ab\u0422\u0430\u043c, \u0434\u0435 \u0432\u0434\u043e\u043c\u0430: 112 \u0432\u0456\u0440\u0448\u0456\u0432 \u043f\u0440\u043e \u043b\u044e\u0431\u043e\u0432 \u0442\u0430 \u0432\u0456\u0439\u043d\u0443\u00bb, \u00ab\u041a\u043e\u043b\u0438\u0441\u043a\u043e\u0432\u0430 21-\u0433\u043e \u0441\u0442\u043e\u043b\u0456\u0442\u0442\u044f Vol. 1: \u0449\u043e \u0442\u0435\u0431\u0435 \u0437\u0430\u043a\u043e\u043b\u0438\u0441\u0443\u0454?\u00bb.<\/p>\n

In December 2023, he published his first collection “\u0412\u0456\u0440\u0448\u0456 \u0437 \u0431\u0456\u0439\u043d\u0438\u0446\u0456” (“Poems from the Gunloop”). It was honored as one of the best Ukrainian books of 2023 by PEN Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Kryvtsov’s poetry has been translated to Lithuanian, Greek, Polish, Bulgarian, Portuguese, French, and English. His poems were put to music by such bands as Yurcash, Adm:t, as well as by singers Vivienne Mort and Oohla.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
