Lusine is a poet and translator from Belarus. She writes in Belarusian and Czech.
Born in Orša on May 13, 1995. Lusine has lived in Minsk for five years, and fell madly in love with that city. Since 2017 she’s been living in Prague, where she received another unnecessary degree in economy and journalism. She works in the 80-year old cinema with the most beautiful neon lights in town. From time to time she organizes the Belarusian poetry readings.
In 2023 and 2024, Lusine graduated from the School for young authors and the Laboratory of decolonial writing “Карані / Лісце” (“Roots / Leaves”), organized by the “Расцяжэнне” (“Stretching”) archive and the literary zine “Фігуры” (“Figures”).
Her poems and translations from Czech have been published in such magazines as “Dziejasłoŭ” (2023) and “Taŭbin” (2023, 2025), as well as the collection “Карані / Лісце” (“Roots / Leaves”, 2024).
This collection includes the poems written between 2022 and 2025.
